[Advisory] Agenda and Materials for Tomorrow

Hi all,

[Editor’s note – this is *even later* than the message below implies, as the mailing list rejected the large attachments; so re-sending tonight with links to the files instead of attachments!]

Apologies for the delay in getting these materials out to you.     And, frankly, for waiting so long to have this meeting!   We’ve had a great year in the project making lots of progress, but it’s also been pretty busy!

The planned agenda for tomorrow:
                                -(Dan) 20 minute update on progress in the last project year.
                                -(Group) Discussion about ideas for directions in the next project year.
                                -(Dan) Summarize action items and plans for next meeting before we get off the call.

I have attached two documents for your reference/perusal, should you have time.    One is the slides for tomorrow – if you don’t have time to look at them in advance, fear not, I will go through them all in agenda item 1 tomorrow – but if you can’t make the call (and a couple of you can’t, I know) it will let you know some of the highlights of the last few months.

The second document is our annual report from *last* year as submitted.   This year’s report is not due for another month or so, so it’s still in preparation; I’ll send along a draft when completed (and, btw, we have our annual visit from NSF in about two months time, so still a little time to fix a few things if you have advice).    In discussions, some of you said you’d like to see these reports; let me just warn you that the format is (over)specified by NSF, so the narrative describing what the project actually *does* starts on the 23rd page of the PDF ☺.    Fortunately, there are many pages of quality tables for the performance management system for you to enjoy before that. . .
