We are excited to provide an update about the DesignSafe<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/> Cyberinfrastructure activities and developments.

New tools in the Workspace<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/rw/workspace>:

  * The Scientific Toolkit for OpenSees (STKO<https://asdeasoft.net/?product-stko>) helps you develop finite element models, set them up for parallelization, and more! The October DesignSafe/STKO webinar is archived here<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8vQ1FH9XSg&feature=youtu.be>.
  * We are in the process of making the ANSYS suite of tools available through DesignSafe. More information to follow.
  * Significant enhancements and upgrades have been made to the online mapping tool HazMapper
  * Other tools are available that span all natural hazard domains and support computational simulation, data analysis, and visualization.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML):

  * The report from the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning held at TACC in February is available at https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-f1nd-9s05
  * Presentations from the AI Workshop are available here<https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2GxvrdFrBlm24bdFNQzef-Ds2zn5canv>.
  * Two archived webinars are available that provide examples of AI and ML applied to natural hazards engineering: Understanding and Applying Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Part 1<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAuQqWsF38w&feature=youtu.be> and Part 2<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnBQETlmIaI&feature=youtu.be>.
Data Depot Published Datasets:

  * Many datasets continue to be published in the Data Depot, including:
     * Liquefaction resistance of MICP treated sand (view dataset<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-f9gw-0n74>)
     * A Database of Seismic Designs, Nonlinear Models, and Seismic Responses for Steel Moment Resisting Frame Buildings (view dataset<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-8yc7-1285>)
     * Effect of Tropical Cyclone Landfall Angle on Storm Surge (view dataset<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-jdyq-jk58>)
  * Read about examples of DesignSafe Data Reuse<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/rw/impact-of-data-reuse>
  * Visit the Data Depot<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/data/browser/public/> to browse or search the published DesignSafe and NEES datasets. Reconnaissance data can also be accessed via the Reconnaissance Portal<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/recon-portal/>.
DesignSafe High Performance Computing (HPC) Allocations:

  * All of the Workspace tools, plus more, are available from the command line on the DesignSafe HPC systems.
  * Request a DesignSafe HPC allocation<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/rw/user-guides/allocations-policy/> to get access to these systems

As always, feel free to email me if you have any comments or questions about DesignSafe.
