Announcing the NHERI Science Plan

The Science Plan Task Group has finalized the first edition of the Five-Year NHERI Science Plan. Thanks to all community members who provided input during the open comment period.

NHERI researchers preparing grant proposals to NSF are urged to consider tenets of the plan when developing their proposals.

Serving as a road map for future hazard research, the plan describes Grand Challenges, Key Research Questions and examples of research needed to mitigate damage from earthquakes, wind, storm surge and tsunamis. Appendices describe the NHERI EFs and examples of research that can be conducted there.
