Civil Infrastructure:

   - The DREAM-B Dear Colleague Letter

    invites proposals to the Engineering for Civil Infrastructure (ECI)
   program for EArly-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) for high
   risk/high reward fundamental research to investigate wholly new materials
   and radical changes in the design of conventional materials, through the
   adaptation and integration of advanced technologies, to enable high
   performance buildings (structural systems, foundation systems, and building
   envelopes).
   - The Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI)
   in the Directorate for Engineering at the National Science Foundation (NSF)
   announces a nationwide search to fill a Program Director position for
   the Engineering for Civil Infrastructure (ECI) Program

   Program Directors have an unparalleled opportunity and responsibility to
   ensure that NSF-funded research is at the forefront of advancing
   fundamental knowledge.  IPA program directors are detailed to NSF for the
   duration of their NSF appointment, and then return to their home
   institutions.  Review of applications has begun, however additional
   applications are still being accepted.
