Nov. 5 workshop webinar: Stiffness-based ground deformation predictions, NHERI at UTexas

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to join the webcast of the* stiffness-based ground
deformation predictions **workshop*, hosted by the Natural Hazards
Engineering Research Infrastructure Equipment Facility at the University of
Texas at Austin (*NHERI at UTexas*).

The workshop will be held from *8:00 AM – 3:00 PM** (Pacific Time)
on Monday, 5 November 2018*.

8:00 am – Introduction: welcome, participant self-introduction, workshop
goals, basic introduction of NHERI at UTexas (Dr. Stokoe)


8:30 am – Predicting foundation settlement using linear and nonlinear soil
dynamic properties (Dr. Stokoe)


9:00 am – Full waveform inversion (Dr. Tran)


10:00 am – coffee break


10:10 am – Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) site conditions (Mr.
Chin/Ms. Flangas)


10:30 am – Ground movement model, prediction, and monitoring (Dr. Finno)


11:30 pm – Introduction of NHERI RPAID equipment facility (UW)
