SimCenter’s PBE Application*

*Presenter:* Adam Zsarnóczay, NHERI SimCenter postdoctoral researcher.


This webinar will introduce the natural hazards community to the
recently-updated PBE Application
<https://simcenter.designsafe-ci.org/research-tools/pbe-application/> developed
by the NHERI SimCenter. The PBE Application is a cloud-enabled desktop
application that provides estimates of decision variables to help
researchers quantify the seismic performance of a building. It builds on
the EE-UQ Application
<https://simcenter.designsafe-ci.org/research-tools/ee-uq-application/> to
estimate the variability in structural response due to uncertainty in the
structural properties and the earthquake event.



*Who should attend:* Researchers, students, and practitioners who need to
quantify the seismic performance of a building by running dynamic
response-history simulations and estimate the consequences of an earthquake
event with a stochastic damage and loss model.
