*NHERI SimCenter Webinar: "Running Large-Scale Regional Hazard and Loss
Simulations" *

*February 25, 2019, 12pm - 1pm PST*

This webinar will feature the NHERI SimCenter Application Framework to
study the effects of earthquakes on society at the regional scale. This
framework demonstrates scientific workflows for regional earthquake damage
and loss estimation that utilize either HPC resources at DesignSafe-CI for
large-scale simulations or local computational resources for testing,
development, and smaller-scale simulations. To demonstrate the workflow
capabilities, a testbed of the M7.0 Anchorage, Alaska, earthquake that
occurred in November 2018 will be presented. After attending the seminar,
you will be able to replicate this demo with the prepared building and
hazard data.
