annual Programming Bootcamp, the SimCenter is offering another <b>Programming
Bootcamp this winter</b>. The two-week (3 hour per day, plus homework and
pre-class preparation) event is a stimulating and robust introduction to
programming, software development, and machine learning to enable natural
hazards engineering research. Registration is available for one or both of the
weeklong sessions. </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><b>Register <a href="https://na.eventscloud.com/ereg/index.php?eventid=590721&">online by Dec 11</a>.</b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><br>
The overall goal of the Bootcamp is to train NHERI researchers in
programming paradigms not covered in traditional civil engineering courseware,
but which are needed to advance their capabilities with regard to simulation
for natural hazards engineering. The event is a stimulating and robust
introduction into software programming to facilitate research outcomes.</p>

faculty who are interested in simulating the effects of natural hazards on
building components, structures, and communities. During the 2-session, 10-day
Bootcamp, participants will be instructed by and interact extensively with the
SimCenter’s lead development team. A sampling of course modules to be offered
