anticipated that this position will complement the existing structural
engineering group’s expertise in sustainable and resilient civil infrastructure
and candidates should have expertise related to infrastructure/civil
engineering materials. While other areas will be considered, preferred
candidates will have a research focus in (1) polymer synthesis,
characterization, and data analysis for new material design and development
and/or (2) development, manufacture, and performance of structural
materials—including fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP), pultruded FRP composites,
FRP reinforcement for concrete structures, or polymer-based admixtures and
coatings for concrete. <span></span></span></p>
