ANSYS now available

We are excited to offer the ANSYS applications suite to DesignSafe researchers. ANSYS offers a comprehensive software suite that spans the entire range of physics, providing access to virtually any field of engineering simulation that a design process requires. ANSYS software is used to simulate computer models of structures, electronics, or machine components for analyzing strength, toughness, elasticity, temperature distribution, electromagnetism, fluid flow, and other attributes.

Access to ANSYS will be available upon request to our users from US academic institutions who are performing open academic, non-commercial research. Initially we are offering ANSYS by direct access on TACC’s Stampede2 HPC system, and in the future we will make it available via the Workspace in the DesignSafe web portal.
