DesignSafe Update September 2020

We are pleased to provide below details about some recent updates to the DesignSafe Cyberinfrastructure (www.designsafe-ci.org<http://www.designsafe-ci.org>). Discovery Workspace:

  *   New tools: Scientific ToolKit for OpenSees (STKO), HVSRweb, Surface Wave Inversion (SWBatch), ANSYS (available at the command line)
  *   SimCenter rWHALE tool for regional hazard and loss estimation
  *   Enhanced HazMapper 2.0 web-mapping application for easy viewing of images, point clouds, etc.  Read more here<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/rw/user-guide/workspace/hazmapper/>
  *   Updated versions of LS-Dyna, ADCIRC, OpenSees, and OpenFOAM
Data Depot

  *   New functionalities for advanced search and bulk download
  *   Over 275 publications are now available, including 122 published over the last year.  The publications span a range of disciplines, hazards, data types, etc.  Examples include:
     *   Comprehensive structural damage data from Hurricane Michael including UAV, Applied Streetview, and Laser scanning (Link<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-5aej-e227>).
     *   Social science datasets on Disaster Spending (Link<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-2na8-am90>) and Food Access after Hurricane Harvey (Link<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-aq2k-dy92>).
     *   Horizon probabilistic liquefaction risk assessment tool (Link<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-2fky-tm46>).
  *   Visit the Data Depot to browse or search the published DesignSafe datasets.  Reconnaissance data can also be accessed via the Reconnaissance Portal.
AI and Machine Learning:

  *   AI Workshop report (Link<https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-f1nd-9s05>) and recorded presentations (Link<https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2GxvrdFrBlm24bdFNQzef-Ds2zn5canv>) are available
  *   Material from AI Bootcamp (Link<https://tinyurl.com/y45zbc4q>) and AI Webinars (Link<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAuQqWsF38w>) are also available
