We all love cute little social media-worthy memes and videos of small animals doing cute things – but for some, rats, mice, and squirrels can be real pests and pose a threat to everyday health. If they get into your home or business they can cause damage not only to property but to life too.

What are the common health problems pests cause – and how do you humanely deal with them so no one gets sick?

Previously, I had a career in Environmental Health, though in the last year or so I’ve become a freelance writer, this is a subject that’s close to my heart, and it’d be great to share some of my knowledge on the topic with you.

I’d love to write an article for designsafe-ci.org on the health hazards pests can cause. I was looking at designsafe-ci.org while researching an article and it crossed my mind that your audience would welcome a blog post on this idea because knowing how to safely deal with common household pests can mean the difference between life and serious illness.
