Dear NHERI GSC Members,

If you have any questions about HAZUS, please reach out to Niko (todorov at chapman.edu<mailto:todorov at chapman.edu>). Thank you, Niko for such an informative presentation!
Nominations Open for User Forum Representative
We also introduced nominations for a new leadership position, User Forum Representative. The individual would represent the NHERI GSC member's needs in the User Forum.
We are now accepting nominations for this position for NHERI GSC members of good standing for this position. A member in good standing meets the following requirements:
1. Registered<https://bit.ly/NGSCNHERI> NHERI GSC member
2. Attended at least two meetings the semester before the election (Executive Committee, General Meeting, Working Group, or Workshop)
3. Enrolled as a graduate student
4. Must agree to abide by our Inclusivity Statement<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/media/filer_public/76/2c/762c627c-33e3-4cea-a2c6-32482eb0e8e3/statement_of_inclusitivity.pdf>
The User Forum is a committee that provides input to the NHERI Council on community satisfaction within the NHERI network and raises awareness of the priorities and needs of its community. To find out more about the NHERI User Forum, please visit their webpage, https://www.designsafe-ci.org/community/user-forum/<https://www.designsafe-ci.org/community/user-forum>.
As the NHERI GSC User Forum Representative, the member will represent the needs of the entire interdisciplinary NHERI GSC membership from January 2022 to January 2023. The representative is required to attend the NHERI GSC Executive Committee (first Friday), NHERI GSC General Meeting (third Friday), and User Forum Committee (scheduled) monthly meetings and reports between the NHERI GSC EC and User Forum. Additional meetings and responsibilities will be necessary based on the needs of the two organizations and the larger NHERI community. Further, the NHERI GSC User Forum Representative may not hold any other NHERI GSC leadership position due to the time commitment required.
Please nominate yourself or another NHERI GSC member for this position by December 1, 2022: https://bit.ly/2023NHERIGSC_UF_Nominations.
Nominations for All Vice Positions Will Open in January
All Vice Officer and Vice-Chair positions will also be up for election in February. Nominations will be accepted in January and all incumbents may run again since there are no term limits on leadership positions. Nominations for those wishing to run for a vice position must also meet the member in good standing requirements as mentioned above. Specific descriptions of each position will be shared in January before the nomination window opens.
