You may have seen the inquiry below from NSF. I would like to suggest that
a coordinated response might be the best approach here. The NCO will be 
happy
to prepare with your input the first draft for review by the Council 
before submitting
to NSF. Alternatively each component may prepare such response.

What is your preference?

I also noted that CONVERGE seems to be missing.

Joy and Lori: what is your pleasure? I think that it should be included 
in either mode of
response. What are your thoughts on this?

Good morning,

Here at NSF, our public affairs office is changing our paradigm a bit 
and trying to be more proactive in our approach to promoting 
facilities/centers, taking advantage of your events and initiatives that 
have a strong local/regional impact. This requires greater awareness of 
existing communications capabilities and resources, and in the past we 
haven’t had much awareness of these kinds of things at many of our 
centers and facilities, unfortunately. We’re hoping this new approach 
will allow us to better support and amplify your efforts, while also 
serving NSF’s strategic communications and branding goals.

To this end, for each facility and center (major *and* minor), I’m 
trying to get a better sense of several things. Joy Pauschke, your NSF 
program director, provided your contact info as a starting point to get 
more info:

  * A specific external communications contact (at facility or awardee
    institution) – email and phone
      o If your NHERI site has no dedicated comms/EPO professional, are
        you the right person to contact if I want to work with you on
        some media outreach activity?
  * Does your NHERI site have an NSF logo on the physical location?
  * Any planned major public events/activities in 2020 (and timeframe,
    if you know!)?
  * “Points of interest” at the site, e.g. for tours potentially?
  * Other key info or thoughts re: proactive media outreach at your site

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about my 
request.  Right now, I’m essentially just doing an “inventory” to gauge 
the potential media opportunities that exist at our facilities and centers.
