[Nheri-council] [EXTERNAL] - NHERI Operations Update Status related to COVID-19

EFs – Is there any program that has not stood down testing at this point? I would imagine most if not all of us do not have staff listed as essential personnel, and are only able to work on post-processing of data, host virtual user workshops, online training, etc.
EFs – Has anybody else gotten into the production of medical supplies? We're working closely with our three hospitals systems (UF Shands, HCA, VA) to design, test, and/or make everything from face mask ventilators to nasopharyngeal swabs to aerosol boxes for intubation in neurocritical care.
Everyone – This is a good read: National coronavirus response: A road map to reopening.

Not suggesting we jump the gun! Am suggesting that existing community resilience planning efforts could greatly inform these efforts. This is a highly granular but network-driven problem, and one that brings many intellectual leadership opportunities for our community. You don’t need to be medically trained to contribute. What is critically needed is the strategic input from experts that understand risk-informed decisionmaking, infrastructure (use) and transit, community functioning, and the future or work/education. Sounds like us.

Council,
Here is the latest version of the version of the NHERI status related to COVID.
Please let me know about any modifications you may wish to make. NSF needs to know how NHERI is handling the COVID-19.
We plan to publish on DesignSafe-CI no later than tomorrow.
Thanks,
Julio
