Dear colleagues:


Based on your participation in an experiment at a NHERI Experimental Facility, you are invited to attend a virtual event entitled:


Publish your Data Event for Experimental Facilities (EF)

December 6, 2021 at 10AM PT/ 11AM MT/ 12PM CT/ 1PM ET.



This 90-minute webinar will help researchers be ready to undertake curation and publication in DesignSafe, learn about colleagues' experiences publishing datasets, and answer questions about the curation process. Topics will include:

  *   Importance of data publishing to NSF and project awardees (Joy Pauschke, NSF Program Director for NHERI)
  *   Requirements and benefits of data publication (Dan Cox, Oregon State Univ/NHERI EF; Ellen Rathje, Univ of Texas/NHERI DesignSafe)

  *   Facilitating data reuse and research dissemination (Maria Esteva, DesignSafe/TACC)

  *   Walkthrough of the DesignSafe curation and publication process (Craig Jansen, DesignSafe/TACC)



We are encouraging all PIs and graduate students on projects at the NHERI EFs to attend. Specifically, we request attendance of at least one PI and one graduate student for each project that will be ready to publish data in the future (6 months to one year).
