Hello NHERI PIs:
Just a few updates:
1. NSF has funded the NHERI Decadal Visioning Study for FY 2026 - FY 2035. The PI is Jared Kosters at Nexight.

* Jared can attend the NHERI Council Meeting on September 1, 2022, to introduce himself and the project. Can you please add this at the start of the agenda?
* Jared will also be attending the NHERI Summit in DC on October 6 and 7, 2022. Can Jared be added to the agenda for a 5-10 minute overview of the NHERI Study?
1. I hope to see you at the NSF Research Infrastructure Workshop on September 13-16, 2022 https://researchinfrastructureoutreach.com/. There are a lot of great sessions that explain different parts of the NSF Research Infrastructure Guide (RIG), NSF 21-107, e.g., Project Execution Plans, operations and maintenance, cost estimation, developing a schedule, etc. NSF is continuing to develop the RIG, which is one of the primary NSF documents for facilities - whether in construction or in operations. Also, on September 16 there are sessions of interest to your facility staff: cyberinfrastructure, cybersecurity, safety officer workshop, and science communications.
1. For the NHERI awards with a January 1 start date, just a reminder that the Y3 work plan is due on October 1, 2022.
Thank you and see you next week at the NHERI Council meeting.
Joy
