[Nheri-council] AGU participation and planning document: call for volunteers

As we discussed last week, we're ramping up for the AGU Fall Meeting in December and staffing our NHERI Booth there for the fourth year. Thank you for all your support in continuing this effort!

I've been working with a few of you on demonstration upgrades and messaging items, and for the rest I have a couple of requests:

  1.  Ask your facility personnel if any of them are planning to come to AGU already, and if they would be willing to staff the booth for one or more 2-hour slots
  2.  Consider developing a promotional flyer or postcard that we can have at the booth. Please send those to myself and Marti LaChance by October 27 so we have time for revisions and printing.
  3.  Send me any video clips or YouTube links you would like to have running on our computer monitor at the booth. We will have a looping playlist of videos, including our NSF-produced NHERI Overview.
  4.  If you have any small pieces of test specimens or instrumentation (even if it's broken/non-functioning) to have out at the booth, please let me know. It goes a long way to have a physical item to hold in your hand while describing the great work that all of you do, and the biggest thing we do at AGU is storytelling about NHERI.
