    Good afternoon Council members,<br>

    Thank you for responding to the poll. Based on the responses

    received, we will have the meeting<br>

    on Tuesday, July 25th at 4:00 PM CT and up to 7:00 PM with Jim

    Ricles (awaiting confirmation), <br>

    Ellen, Steve, Arindam, Forrest (available until 5:00 PM), Dan Cox,

    Joe Wartman, Ross/Dan Wilson, <br>

    and Julio participating in person. I have not heard from Joel (UCSD)

    and Ken (Texas), but if they are <br>

    not in San Antonio, there would likely be a representative or remote

    participation.<br>

    <br>

    The <b>User Forum</b> is also meeting in San Antonio, Tuesday

    afternoon at 4:00 PM CT; and, 6 of the 7<br>

    members, (possibly all 7) of the <b>NIAC</b> will be in San Antonio

    and able to meet at that time. Each group<br>

    is developing its own agenda for the in-person meeting; however, I

    will be proposing to the <br>

    Forum and NIAC to hold a joint portion with the Council starting at

    4:00 PM CT. The NIAC and officers of the<br>

    Forum are included in this message.<br>

    <br>

    As you make your travel arrangements, please plan to be in San

    Antonio for at least a full day on Tuesday, July 25.<br>

    The science plan will be discussed at a forum during the morning

    session of the Summer Institute on that day.<br>

    Dan, Ellen and I will begin to work on the Agenda for the Council

    Meeting. Please send your items and let us know if<br>

    you have questions.<br>
