Joy is a follow-on to a 2017 workshop that brought together the CI components from different MREFC projects to “enable direct and synergistic interactions among the NSF large facilities and the CI communities to jointly address the CI needs as well as the
sustainability of the CI of existing and future large facilities.” I was on the organizing committee for that workshop, Tim Cockerill and Dan Stanzione also attended from DesignSafe, and a couple of the EFs were represented.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">I believe the reason that Joy is asking all the components to participate is because the workshop organizers want to hear from the users of CI about their needs, as well as hearing from DesignSafe. But I can’t
