Postdoc Position to support an NSF Convergence Accelerator team

A Postdoc position is available in Dr. Claudia Marin’s research group in
the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Howard
University, available immediately. The successful applicant will conduct
research to support an NSF Convergence Accelerator team, under Dr. Marin’s
supervision in the general area of structural health monitoring. Relevant
research topics include but are not limited to:

- Systems identification

- Damage assessment

- Structural health monitoring

- Experimental and field dataset collection and analysis

- Machine Learning (ML) and pattern recognition with physics-based
reasoning.

The candidate is expected to take personal initiative to complete tasks to
meet project goals and be capable of responding to deliverable timelines as
are typical in collaborative research involving industry.

This position is designed to end 08/31/2021, with the possibility to be
extended pending availability of funds.
