Dear REU participants:


Here are some more news regarding the FIU Wall of Wind trip:


FIU Wall of Wind Safety

I attached a document to review the safety of our visit to the Wall of Wind.  Please pack a pair of close-toe shoes for our tour of the experimental facility.  This is very important!


Meals

For those who provided dietary restrictions, I ordered special meals. All others will eat from the regular meal.


Uber/Lyft

When you arrive to Miami, take an uber or Lyft because a taxi is over twice the cost of an uber/Lyft.


Hotel

Again, the hotel address is:

When you arrive at the hotel, you will be asked to provide a credit card for incidentals. We do not cover incidental charges. So you will be charged directly for these.  They will hold $20 per day on the card that is provided. When you check out, the incidental charges only will be charged to the card or will be returned if no incidental charges were made.  So be prepared!
