Dear REU students,

Here are some exciting things to look forward to this week.

Nominate Your Graduate Student Mentor
Does your graduate student mentor give you great advice, help you with your research project, or invite you to networking events?  Tell us about it!  We have travel funds to take your exceptional graduate student mentors to tour FIU's WOW facility and participate in the day event with you.  Please nominate your graduate student mentor by Monday, July 17 at 12 noon by providing the following information:

Masters or doctoral student?
Tell us why s/he is an exceptional mentor:

We will contact selected mentors directly to make travel arrangements.


Keep Taking Pictures
Many of you are getting to the fun, experimentation portion of your projects.  Please take pictures and videos of your research experiences to share with future REU applicants. Submit pictures and videos via email to karina.vielma at utsa.edu<mailto:karina.vielma at utsa.edu>. We will use these for recruitment purposes.


Take the Facebook/Instagram Challenge
On that note, post your research pictures on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook and tag us:
