Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to invite you to the User Requirements Workshop for
DesignSafe, the cyberinfrastructure (CI) for NHERI that is being developed
by a team headquartered at the University of Texas. The workshop will take
place in Austin, Texas on January 11-12, 2016. The main goal of the User
Requirements Workshop is to bring together researchers from the natural
hazards engineering community to inform the CI development process. This
workshop is an important part of this process because it will help ensure
that the functionalities provided by the CI will enable the next generation
of research focused on engineering against the natural hazards of
earthquakes and windstorms. In addition to the workshop, we are planning
pre-workshop webinars for the workshop attendees that will present details
about our vision for the CI, explain the CI development process, and
provide background about the workshop.

Please RSVP for the Workshop by sending an email to rsvp at designsafe-ci.org.
If you are able to attend the workshop, in your email please also confirm
your attendance at one of the webinars listed below. More information
about the Workshop and Webinars will follow.
