Dear members of NHERI
I wish you a creative and happy new year.
My name is Ioannis Lymperis and I come from and live in Greece. I am not a Civil Engineer. I am a builder with 53 years of experience and I havestudied as a construction foreman.
Meanwhile, I have been working as an independent researcher on seismic technology for 15 years.
I have invented the ultimate method of seismic design.
In my country they are indifferent to my research.
I would like to know if you can help me to find research partners or research centres of anti-seismic technology so that in cooperation with them so I can complete my research effort.
I am sharing my applied research in the publication below, hoping for your invaluable cooperation in achieving our common goal of absolute seismic construction.
Research in the paper and the proposed design approach are interesting and well thought out. The incorporation of artificial compression at the ends of longitudinal reinforced concrete walls, along with their connection to the ground via ground anchors, is a unique and promising method for minimizing damage during seismic events.
Emphasis on deformation control to avoid damage is a critical aspects of seismic design. In addition, consideration of factors such as torsional flexural buckling, eigenfrequency control and the use of tendons to prevent longitudinal shear in overlay concrete demonstrates an integrated approach.
The incorporation of reactive forces to increase the strength of the cross-sections and the return of the structure to its original position through prestressing are notable features of the design. It would be interesting to see more details on the practical application of these concepts in larger volume experiments as well as thorough simulations validating the effectiveness of the method approach.
Overall, this project appears to make a significant contribution to the field of earthquake engineering. If you have specific questions or if there are additional aspects you would like to discussion, please feel free to ask me and I will do my best to answer them.
