FYI - I just spent an hour on the phone with Warren Cornwall, a correspondent for Science magazine. He’s researching a possible story around NHERI, which would be good for us all. I pointed him at a few resources, plus he’s already done some good homework. He said he now expects to try contacting PIs at other sites, so I just wanted to give you a heads-up.

I'm a correspondent for Science magazine. I'm trying to reach you to learn more about the geotechnical centrifuge project for which you are the PI.

The magazine is creating a special issue about natural hazards, and I'm researching a possible story about the projects funded through the NSF's Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) program.

I was reading a bit about your project on the NSF's grant summaries. I'm hoping we could talk so I could learn a bit more about the project: It's current status, upcoming tests that would use it, etc.
