Notes:


  1.  DesignSafe data download walkthrough and discussion of the rationale for not requiring login to download
     *   You have the ability to download an entire dataset; we zip the files that exist and make it available as a download; it does show the size of the file so you can determine if you want to download the files
     *   Data diagram gives a visual view of what categories of activity is within the dataset
     *   Feedback - if someone wants to leave a comment for the authors they can
     *   Data Metrics - click view data metrics

     *   Hover over the "I" to see the description of each category
     *   Q: Do we have tracking on how many users for the file request category?

                                    i.      If they are logged in we know who it is but if they are not logged in it is not clean enough to collect that information. We did not want to put barriers in place for people to download the data so we did not want to require users to be logged in.

     *   Q: One of the metrics semi-annually is the reuse of data generated at the facility; Tim can run a query for the specific projects if notified.

                                    i.      ACTION: Semi-annual report to the EFs - Tim/Joshua

     *   Scheduling dashboard - with Covid the number of projects overall seems to be reducing, is it possible to look at the projects and tell us which user downloaded it so we can reach out to them? Would that be a fair use of the username, can the user information be shared?

                                    i.      This is a public access gov't funded project so we should be able to share as we are all funded under the same program.

     *   Data reuse - we have a chart by year and an explanation of each category.

  *   Q: Can we look at a dataset and see who used it? Can DOI be linked to the page? Maria has a spreadsheet of where she got them.
     *   ACTION: Check with Maria and ask if there are plans to make that data more publicly available or at least to the EF sites.
  *   Q: Can all the EFs share their papers to be collated into one list?
