[Nheri-council] NHERI Network Independent Advisory Committee (NIAC)

Good afternoon,

On behalf of the NHERI Council of PIs, it is my distinct pleasure to
welcome the members of the first NHERI Network Independent Advisory
Committee (NIAC):

Dr. Lesley Ewing, California Coastal Commission
Dr. William Hansmire, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc.
Dr. Farzad Naeim, University of California, Irving
Dr. Catherine Petroff, US Army Corps
Dr. John van de Lindt, Colorado State University
Dr. Peter Vickery, Applied Research Associates
Dr. Richard Woods, University of Michigan

The NHERI Council looks forward to working with the NIAC and to incorporate
its guidance and advise to better serve the users of NHERI.

In accordance with the solicitation requirements, the NCO is pleased to 
provide
the administrative support to the NIAC. The members will be receiving a 
*whenisgood**
**poll invitation* to identify a convenient 1-hour time for a virtual 
meeting sometime
before the end of May. Some agenda topics are: introductions, 
operational procedures,
and initial activities.

Finally, on behalf of the Council, I would like to invite the members of 
the NIAC
to consider as a possibility for its second meeting, an in-person one 
during the
first NHERI Summer Institute to be held in San Antonio Texas July 24-28.
