Dear */fname/* */lname/*,
If you plan to attend the special event on April 5 following the Large Facilities Workshop entitled, “Envisioning the Future of Facility Science and Cyberinfrastructure” (see below), we invite you to consider submitting a poster for display and an associated “lightening talk” on an innovative science-driven use case for facility cyberinfrastructure that describes, for instance, new data delivery and usage modes, adoption of shared resources and analytical tools, and/or higher levels of integration of facilities and services.
Specific guidance on content. Posters should highlight specific recent or future innovative science-driven use cases involving one or more NSF facilities and cyberinfrastructure. Posters should not focus on the general features of a product or services of a facility, center, institute, etc., but highlight a specific identified use case as described above.
If you are interested in submitting a poster for display, please send an email with the title, authors, abstract, and brief (1 paragraph) summary of your poster to mbeale at kforcegov.com<mailto:mbeale at kforcegov.com> by no later than Monday, March 18, 2019.
Sincerely,
The Event Organizers
About the Event “Envisioning the Future of Facility Science and Cyberinfrastructure”
Participants will explore innovations and use cases that significantly enhance the scientific impact and productivity offered by NSF large facilities, and which point towards the future of transformative cyberinfrastructure-enabled large scale science. The workshop will bring together the facility and cyberinfrastructure communities to highlight new data delivery and usage modes, adoption of shared resources and analytical tools, and achieve higher levels of integration to plan forward for future science capabilities. The agenda will comprise keynote presentations, contributed short presentations, expert panel discussion and a demonstration poster session highlighting examples of recent innovations. Please contact Bill Miller, NSF, WLMiller at nsf.gov<mailto:WLMiller at nsf.gov> with any questions about this event.
Registration: The registration fee for this event is $120 (separate from the fee for the workshop). If you are not signed up for this event but would like to, please send an email to: lfworkshop at nsf.gov<mailto:lfworkshop at nsf.gov> to request assistance adding this selection to your 2019 Large Facilities Workshop registration.
