Dear NHERI Council Members,

Will you please share this with your networks, and consider joining us for the upcoming 2020 Researchers Meeting? This meeting will feature training sessions from DesignSafe and RAPID, is co-organized by CONVERGE, and even includes an NSF lunch and learn that will feature Joy! NHERI everywhere! Also, there are several papers that I think and hope will be of interest and I know some of your colleagues submitted. Thank you for that! Announcement follows and thank you in advance for your support!

Please join us for the upcoming (virtual) hazards and disaster Researchers Meeting<https://hazards.colorado.edu/workshop/2020/researchers-meeting/overview>, scheduled for July 15-16, 2020! If you have not yet signed up, you can find the registration rates and registration link, here: https://hazards.colorado.edu/workshop/2020/registration.

The 2020 Researchers Meeting is organized around the theme of The Data Revolution: Ethical Imperatives and Methodological Considerations for Hazards and Disaster Research<https://hazards.colorado.edu/workshop/2020/researchers-meeting/overview>. Sessions will focus on new data technologies and capabilities, while also tackling enduring and emergent ethical and methodological considerations concerning why we collect data, what we measure, who we collect data from, and how we gather and share data in disaster contexts. Join us for 20+ concurrent sessions featuring over 100 original research papers, a distinguished keynote and plenary session, special training sessions on data collection and data publication, and a lunch and learn session with National Science Foundation (NSF) program officers.

The 2020 Researchers Meeting is scheduled to immediately follow the 45th Annual Natural Hazards Workshop<https://hazards.colorado.edu/workshop/2020>. All are welcome and encouraged to attend both (first-ever virtual) events.

The 2020 Researchers Meeting is supported by the NSF and organized by the International Sociological Association Research Committee on Disasters (ISA-RC39) with the support of the Natural Hazards Center and the NHERI CONVERGE facility at the University of Colorado Boulder.
