For this webinar, 3 examples will be presented that give a good overview of DesignSafe capabilities for LS-Dyna.

  *   Launching a single job via DesignSafe web interface and using LS-Prepost for pre and post processing of models
  *   Launching a batch of jobs via DesignSafe web interface
  *   Launching a batch of jobs via Stampede2 CLI
Carl Bernier is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University in Houston, TX. His research focuses on assessing the vulnerability of aboveground storage tanks during severe storm events. More specifically, his research involves developing new numerical models to predict the structural behavior of ASTs subjected to wind, storm surge, flooding, waves, rainfall, and debris impacts during extreme meteorological events. He has authored a total of 15 articles in journals or archived conference proceedings. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked on the seismic safety of hydropower dams in Canada. He received his B.Eng and M.S in Civil Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada.
