[Usecase] Action Required: Python Modules (Update status)

Dear all,
1)
I have installed multiple extra python modules including MySQLdb, mysql, mysql_connector_python, PyFoam, openseespy, etc. on the Stampede2 system under /home1/apps/DesignSafe/pyincore.
The only exception is PyLncore, which is another story. If Jamie needs any extra assistance with that, I am glad to help.
2) To use the new installed packages,
please add one single command before you start python:
export PYTHONPATH=/home1/apps/DesignSafe/$PYTHONPATH
Or you can use the "sys.path" to update it within your Python environment like this:
python3
Python 3.6.8 (default, Apr 2 2020, 13:34:55)
[GCC 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-39)] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import mysql
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mysql'
>>> import sys
>>> sys.path.append('/home1/apps/DesignSafe')
>>> import mysql
3) You can list the installed packages on the system with the command

Is it possible to get PyIncore?
https://incore.ncsa.illinois.edu/doc/incore/pyincore.html
This could promote some good collaboration with NIST COE.

Hi All,
Si Liu and his team will be working to get extra Python modules on the system by December 18, 2020.
Please let him know what extra Python modules you need or will need on TACC systems (like openseespy, paramiko, scipy, etc.) by Monday, December 7 so that he will have time to review them.
Thanks,
Natalie
