Resending these notes about transitioning to DesignSafe 2.0 ☺

· TACC technical personnel included in each team meeting; Use cases should go deeper and you need more help from the TACC staff

o Julia Looney (Jupyter)

o Si Liu (HPC, Data)

o Dave Semeraro (Viz)

· Keep the joint meeting time (Monday at 3PM CT) for each week – each Monday of the month a different group would meet:

o First Monday – Jupyter Workflows

o Second Monday – Advanced Data

o Third Monday – Enabling HPC

o Fourth Monday – Visualization

DesignSafe 2.0
Transitioning from Requirement Teams to Use Case Teams

· We have not heard anything official from NSF but we still want to move forward in our planning.
Use Case Teams

· Four Use Case Teams (Workflows, Data, HPC, Viz)

· Each week one group meets with its members to discuss progress on Use Case projects. Agenda set by Use Case Topic lead

· Preferably same day/time each week because everyone is on 2 teams

o Fourth Monday – Visualization

· Will not have the regular requirement team meeting in May but instead use the time to build upon the presentations gave at the site visit. Have everyone meet at both of those times May 19 & 20.

· ACTION: Natalie will set up new email list and meeting invites
Management Meeting

· Co-PIs plus Dan, Tim, Tracy, and Natalie

· Meet twice per month (e.g., 2nd and 4th week of month)

§ One meeting focused on management, opportunities, outward looking, etc.

§ One meeting focused on broad technical activities

§ Or can this be done in one meeting/month? We will start with this schedule and adjust if needed
Community Engagement

· Monthly meetings to discuss webinars and other training opportunities; with email discussing in between

§ Scott, Charlie, others? SimCenter representation (Laura)?

· Will need more in-depth planning with Krishna/TACC for summer DCI starting January 2021
All Hands meeting

· Starting in June we will not have requirement team meetings any more

· Suggested that we have an All Hands meeting twice a year to keep everyone on the same page
Engagement with NHERI Partners

· Closer interaction with PIs of other NHERI components; we have interactions but it is mostly at the staff level.

o Goal is to strengthen joint activities

o We have close relationship with RAPID due to Rathje/Wartman participation in meetings

· Meeting with SimCenter in late July

o In-person or (more likely) virtual

o Suggested Participants: Ellen, Tim, Dan, Clint, Jamie, Ahsan, Pedro, Laura, Krishna

· Meeting with EF PIs sometime in the Fall (Jean-Paul, Scott, Fred, Gilberto)

o Zoom call with PIs to understand how we can best support them

o Validation exercises using EF data (particularly wind sites)

o EF users particularly open to simulation/data/integration

o Zotero paper list – we can share the Zotera library and give them access to add to share publications and data citations.

o Ellen and Tim interacts with the RAPID and NCO and so they are not on the list for more interaction.

· Continue these meetings twice/year? They should not be a one off meetings.
