[Usecase] Summary of DesignSafe Team meeting (1/19/2023)

Hi all:

Just a summary of our discussions today and plans for meetings moving forward.  Note that when I reference "project teams" below, I am referencing the professor-lead projects to promote DS.

GPT and DesignSafe

  *   Krishna showed his work exploring how GPT could be integrated into DS.
  *   Examples included metadata extraction from datasets and semantic searches that include context of the inquiry

Future Project Team Meetings

  *   We will move our team meetings to monthly.  See email from Natalie about identifying which Thursday of the month works best
  *   At these monthly meetings, we will hear from ONE project team member updating us on their project

Project Team Expectations

  *   One-on-one quarterly meetings with Ellen to track progress on projects (March meetings have been scheduled, will follow on with June, Sept, and December meetings)
  *   One update presentation per year at the monthly meetings referenced above (I will be reaching out to schedule each project team to present)
  *   One outreach event per year, which could be a DS webinar, external workshop, etc.  Anything to outwardly promote your DS project
  *   Project teams take the lead in organizing any meetings with DesignSafe/TACC staff that are required to meet the goals of your project
  *   Project team members are encouraged to organize any outreach meetings with potential user groups, like specific EFs (e.g., PIV call with wind tunnel EFs) or simulation tools (e.g., ADCIRC).  In organizing these meetings, we all will be invited to attend if interested.  We will schedule those meetings as needed and based on availability of only those who are interested.
